Nov 22, 2022. #1. Hi all, I've just had my 2013 CX5 into mazda for a repair of the injector seals/oil strainer issue. To be fair it was done for free by Mazda so no complaints here. After replacing everything including injectors, im told that my ECU/PCM is done for and needs replacement. At $4000 i'm looking to find some alternatives.
We learned their specs, problems, and also Mazda CX5 reliability. Overall, the earlier models of the CX5 are really reliable. The only problematic models are the ones after 2018. Some of these vehicles have leaky valve stem seals that tend to leak oil and cause your car to have increased oil consumption.
